Many areas of your home will need periodic maintenance to insure long years of use and continued beauty. Your home will be one of the greatest investments of your life. Protect value, maintain your home by studying and utilizing this checklist.


 



EXTERIOR

• Clean gutters, downspouts,   extensions, & bubblers
• Clean leaves from window wells
• Clean garage floor drains/remove debris
• Check exterior caulking for cracking
• Check paint/stain on all exterior woods, varnish or urethane wood & fiberglass entry doors
• Check & adjust exterior door threshholds
• Check stucco joints - around doors, windows, etc., clean stucco
• Visual inspection of roof & siding (wind damage, missing pieces)
• Install/clean screens
• Spring feeding - lawns and plants
• Review asphalt driveway sealer
• Review concrete driveways and walks for sealer and caulking
• Review septic for pumping (recommended every three years)


INTERIOR

• Turn on hose bib valves in basement


FURNACE/AIR CONDITIONING
• Change filter - furnace
• Inspection - a service contract recommended


GARAGE SINKS
• Turn on water lines


HUMIDIFIERS
• Turn controls to "off"
• Set winter/summer damper in basement to "summer"
